Etihad Airways Cancellation Policy
Etihad Airways has a flexible cancellation policy that differs based on the type of ticket. In general, if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of booking and at least seven days before departure, there will be no charges. Fully refundable tickets can be canceled for a complete refund, while non-refundable tickets may involve additional fees. Etihad Airways Refund Policy
Before you decide to cancel your reservation, it is important to verify if your ticket is eligible for a refund. This includes checking if there are any cancellation fees associated with the refund. Additionally, your ticket must have been issued at least 5 days ago and be purchased using a single credit card. All refunds are automatically processed back to the original credit card used for the ticket purchase. It typically takes between 14 to 30 working days for the refund to be reflected on your card or bank statement. Please keep in mind that the refund process is subject to the fare rules of your original ticket. It is also possible that your bank may charge an additional processing fee for the refund.
How to request a cancellation for Etihad Airways?
i) Online cancellation:-
- Visit the website: https://www.etihad.com/
- Provide your Etihad Airways login details and click on the 'Login' button.
- Navigate to the Flight/Hotel/Car tab.
- Select the 'Manage Etihad Airways Reservations' link.
- Click on 'Etihad Airways Cancel Reservation and enter your booking reference, first name, and last name.
- Retrieve your booking.
- Choose the flight you want to cancel and confirm the cancellation.
ii) Cancellation through the Etihad Contact Centre:
To cancel your booking via the Etihad Contact Centre, reach out to their reservation agents located near you. If you have a partially-used ticket, you can also inquire about changing your flight (fees may apply).
How to Request a refund ?
- Visit the URL https://www.etihad.com/en-in/.
- Locate and click on the option labeled "Manage my booking".
- Enter your booking reference and last name into the designated fields.
- Within the 'my trips' section, choose the specific flight that requires a refund.
- You will then be directed to the payment section, where you can observe all deducted amounts from your fare.
- After verifying the information, click the submit button and patiently await the processing of your refund.
Refunds for ticket purchases will be automatically credited back to the original card used for payment. It may take approximately 14 to 30 business days for the refund to be reflected on your card or bank statement.
